McCash – of the Vie seinte Audree to Marie de France, Carla Rossi reconstructs the material history of the manuscript which has transmitted the poem . Thus, a number of clues lead to the convent of Barking where, in 1173, «Dame Marie», the sister of Thomas Becket, became abbess.
